On behalf of our client, we are looking for a reliable person who wants to work in the household of an English-speaking, easy-going, and friendly family in the Stockholm area. The family consists of 2 adults and 3 children aged 2–9 years. It is important that you have high integrity as well as a sense of what it means to work in a private home.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

You are the spider in the web of the home and enjoy keeping the household in top shape.

You are responsible for keeping order and ensuring that everything is neat, tidy, and well-organized.

You are also good at cooking and are responsible for planning, shopping, cooking, and setting the table until the family comes home to eat dinner around 5:30 PM, as well as ensuring that there are lunch boxes for the next day. You leave the kitchen clean and tidy.

You need to have good knowledge of food and food hygiene, but it is not a must to have a formal chef education. The most important thing is that the food is good, well-prepared, healthy, and appreciated by all family members of different ages.

You pick up the children from school/preschool when the school day is over and ensure they have a snack when they come home. If needed, help with drop-off in the morning may also be required.

For this position, we place great value on who you are as a person since you will be working in the family’s home. The family is very keen on creating a good working environment, good working conditions, and hopes to find a person who can stay in the household for a long time to come.

WORKING HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT:

The position is a part-time employment to begin with, approximately 75-80%, but it may change as needed. The working hours are primarily daytime Monday – Friday from about 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, but some earlier mornings, evenings, and weekends may occur. Flexible working hours by agreement with the family. Monthly or hourly salary according to agreement.

ABOUT YOU AS A CANDIDATE:

For this position, your age or previous experiences are not of great importance. The most important thing is how you are as a person; responsible, flexible, caring, discreet, and able to cooperate and communicate well with the family. Since the parents are primarily English-speaking, you need to be able to communicate fluently in English. The children speak both Swedish and English. You are self-sufficient and can plan your time in the best way. You enjoy working independently, take your own initiative, and like to facilitate the family’s everyday life.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in a similar position with excellent references

• Always work with discretion and professionalism

• A skilled cook

• Be proud to keep the property clean and presentable

• Must be able to speak fluent Swedish and English

• Driver's license and own car are advantageous

• Looking for a long-term position

• Easy-going person with a positive attitude
